Australia offers two primary pathways into medicine:
A. Undergraduate Entry (Direct Entry)
Eligibility: High school graduates.
Duration: Typically 5–6 years.
Assessment Components:
Academic Performance: ATAR, IB, or equivalent.
UCAT ANZ: Required by most programs.
Interview: MMI or panel format.
Additional Tests: Some universities require tests like Casper.
B. Guaranteed-Entry Postgraduate Pathways
Eligibility: High-achieving high school students.
Duration: Typically 7 years (3 years undergraduate course, 4 years MD).
Structure: Enroll in an undergraduate program with a conditional offer to a postgraduate medical degree upon meeting specific criteria.
Assessment Components:
